The lives of all Ukrainian artists, who displayed at exhibitions, art fairs, museums and all types of shows, were torn away from them on the 24th of February in 2022. These artists, both established and emerging, with whom Lysenko Gallery have been working for a long time, in Kyiv, suddenly had to face the abrupt end of their art world.
Lysenko Gallery is proud to present The Last Show from Kyiv to the Southampton, , where works from closed February exhibitions, from closed art studios and that which have been made during the war will all be displayed.
As an exclusive for HFAF, we carefully selected artwork from both emerging and established artists to showcase the history of art in Ukraine and modern day works. We will be exhibiting a selection of leading most important Ukrainian artists- Oleg Tistol, showing the modern history of Ukrainian art, Nina Murashkina, a star of the last few years, Andrey Tsoy, a longtime collectors favourite for those fascinated by mysticism and surrealism. There is also the mixed media and the unique style of Anastasiia Podervianksa, who continues her family's legacy in the world of art and culture.
HFAF attendees will be able to witness artworks that have been brought out of Ukraine with great effort, and risk. Lysenko Gallery's aim is to give these significant artworks the chance to continue their life in the art world.
