Happiness: A Table Set for Marbella
A joyful, colour-saturated presentation of contemporary art. 30 Jul - 31 Aug 2026 For Art World Marbella, LYSENKO Gallery unveils Happiness: A Table Set for Marbella—a joyful, colour-saturated presentation of contemporary painting, ceramics, and sculptural objects. The exhibition celebrates the rituals that transform everyday life into an occasion: flowers arranged in a vase, fruit shared at the table, a glass of champagne, coffee, cakes, sunlight, and conversation.
At the centre of the presentation is a striking new painting by emerging artist HAZ. Made especially for Marbella, the work expands the language of the still life into a contemporary vision of abundance. Peonies, berries, citrus, pastries, glasses and a bottle of champagne appear across a boldly striped tablecloth, rendered in energetic, tactile brushstrokes. The composition is immediate and celebratory, combining the visual pleasure of Pop Art with the intimacy of domestic life.
The painting captures an atmosphere associated with the Mediterranean: warmth, hospitality, colour and the freedom to enjoy the present moment. Rather than presenting luxury as distance or exclusivity, HAZ creates an open invitation—a table prepared for shared delight. Familiar objects become symbols of pleasure, friendship and resilience; happiness emerges through attention to simple, sensual details.
Commissioned specifically for the Marbella presentation, the accompanying ceramic collection translates this exuberant visual language into three dimensions. Hand-finished ceramic vessels, plates and sculptural forms bring colour, texture and playful imperfection into the exhibition space. Together, the paintings and ceramics create an immersive environment where art is not only viewed, but experienced as part of a lively, imaginative way of living. Read more -
