‘Diptych’ by Nina Rezhnichenko is an abstract feminist piece with depicts a collection of red, white and yellow flowers. The name ‘Diptych’ refers to the use of two canvases which Rezhnichenko paints across, each completing the other. Her use of a warm beige balances the bright reds and the touches of blue, yellow and white. The flowers appear to be flowing over the canvas, as the bottom part of this piece is left blank. ‘Diptych’ illustrates an abundance of blossoming and fruitfulness, which grows out and overflows across the two canvases.
