The Head with the Red Horse is a whimsical ceramic sculpture that merges human and animal imagery into a single symbolic form. A serene face crowned by a small crimson horse evokes folklore, dreams, and the playful imagination of childhood.
Hand-built and richly textured, the work reflects Maslo Ceramics’ distinctive visual language, where traditional ceramic references are transformed into contemporary sculptural objects. The contrast between the calm expression, graphic polka-dot pattern, and vivid red figure creates a balance of humour, mystery, and quiet poetry.
Both collectible and narrative, the piece invites viewers to invent their own story while connecting to the enduring tradition of figurative Ukrainian ceramics.
