‘Migration processes’ forms a part of Kulikovska’s series ‘Migration’, where each piece is painted on an immigration document. This piece was painted on a Swedish immigration form, Kulikovska’s second nationality. Across the page, she writes 'Mum I am not at home as well. Where I am from?'. She brings a human perspective to these bureaucratic processes, depicting the full lives that exist beyond the document. Despite these full lives, we are reduced to our nationality and occupation when immigration offices decide where we are allowed to go.
