In this work, the artist presents the gander as a symbol of a whole, integrated personality — one that has passed through trials without being broken. He appears expressive and self-assured. He did not allow darkness to defeat him; instead, he accepted it and transformed it into part of his own pattern.

The green background symbolizes the world and life in all their complexity — a space in which we all strive to remain alive, free, and authentic. The circles on the gander’s body resemble traces of shelling, holes torn into the fabric of lived experience. They did not destroy him; rather, they made his presence even more pronounced. True beauty lies not in perfection, but in resilience — in the ability to survive and to transform pain into a form of art.

This is a portrait of resilience. A reminder of how vital it is not to lose oneself, even when everything around us is trying to erase us.
