Vasilenko depicts the arrival of spring through her series of detailed and enticing pieces. This painting is an impressionist depiction of a flowers in full bloom. Vasilenko uses a gentle lilac, white and light blue colours to create a serene and picturesque atmosphere. The branches of the wildflowers twist together and delicately dangle the blooming flowers from above. Moreover, the illusion of movement is created by layering the paint, with the petals coming out of the canvas. She uses small changes in colour to create the illusion of shadows whilst still using pastel colours to retain the tranquility of the piece. Overall, it is a soothing yet animated depiction of nature.
